I am a radiation oncologist who specializes in caring for patients with gynecologic and genitourinary cancers. I have the privilege of being part of a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, treatment planners, therapists, and supportive care professionals – all deeply committed to providing the best possible care for each patient here. I believe that every patient with cancer deserves a chance at cure, no matter where they live. I work in Tanzania for part of the year, collaborating with our partners to improve outcomes and access to high-quality radiotherapy. I am interested in the development of global programs for cancer prevention and treatment, and how modern cancer programs can be adapted to low and middle-income countries as the global burden of cancer continues to increase. As a member of the Program in Global Oncology and Health Disparities in Radiation Oncology, my research focuses on brachytherapy delivery, access to care, and the cost-effectiveness of radiotherapy through an ongoing international partnership.

I am grateful every day to be entrusted with the journeys of patients confronting cancer. I believe that careful listening to each person's story - their hopes, fears, and life beyond disease - is foundational to the patient-oncologist relationship.
