Ms. Flannery is a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with over two decades of medical experience, including medical oncology, emergency medicine, and reconstructive surgery. Ms. Flannery earned a B.S. from Ithaca College and her advanced degree from Duke University. She is currently a UW faculty member and teaching associate with the Department of Radiation Oncology located at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center – Proton Therapy.
Her current area of clinical practice is prostate cancer survivorship, a clinic for on-going surveillance care and wellness following proton beam therapy treatment. Ms. Flannery partners with patients and families to manage post-radiation care and promote healthy lifestyle behaviors as part of their overall recovery. She also serves as the team leader to manage on-site acute medical needs of Proton Center clinic patients should urgent issues arise.
You will also find her at the monthly Prostate Dinner Club, a prostate cancer support group hosted by Cancerlifeline.org, where she likes to engage patients on various topics, enjoy guest lectures, or occasionally give one herself.
